The anatomical BSC-Stem
The BSC-Stem, adapted to the human anatomy (according to Prof. G. Biehl, M.D.) is available in a cemented and cementless version. The BSC-Stem intended for cementless implantation consists of a high-quality titanium-niobium-forge alloy. The surface-enlarging pure titanium coating ensures comprehensive growth of the bone cells.
- Material: The cementless prosthesis consists of a titanium-niobium-forge alloy according to ISO 5832-11.
- Surface coating: The surface enlargement consists of a pure titanium coating. The surface roughness Rmax. is 100 to 250 µm.
- Size classification: The cementless system has 8 sizes and allows optimal adaptation to the anatomical conditions.
- CCD-angle: The CCD angle is 135 degrees.
For both the cementless as well as the cemented version, the same easy and easy-to-follow instrument is used. After the femur marrow has been milled, it is possible to determine the correct length directly with the modular rasp and trial-heads. Exact coordination between the instrument and the implant allows secure, efficient and precise work.
